Beebe Receives Grant from “Hunger Fund”

White County Community Foundation’s Board of Directors awarded grants from its Stop Hunger Endowment to help provide food for needy families this holiday season. The Endowment was established in 2009 to provide a perpetual source of funds to combat hunger in the County.

“Grants from the Hunger Fund are based on a portion of the interest generated by the total fund each year,” said Executive Director Kathy Murphy. “In this way the fund will grow over time and the amount we have to grant will increase.”

Five, $150 grants were awarded to Central Baptist Church food pantry in Bald Knob, Della’s Pantry of Rose Bud First Baptist Church, Beebe Christian Outreach Center, Mana Ministry of Trinity Baptist Church in Bradford, and White County Aging Program Meals on Wheels. All grants support the effort of these organizations to provide food for needy families in their areas.
