The HIPPY program held its monthly meeting Monday, November 12, at the First United Methodist Church of Beebe. Topics of the meeting were budget cooking at home and making good food choices. The children were introduced to the color red where they made a book about the color and were taught a song to remember how to spell Red. Afterwards, the children were dismissed to story time where they were red, “There was an old woman who swallowed a Pie.” As the book was read there was a visual set up so the kids could see what she was eating and asked if it was a good choice or bad choice. Next the parents and children participated in a tasting activity in which they made a cherry layered delight and toast made of milk and food coloring. Other craft and games included, Turkey bowling, Musical Chairs, Guess how many turkeys tall you are? There were also puzzle centers available. Those in attendance were as follows: Tommy Boyce, Laney Hambrick, Evie Jones, Lola Ferguson, Madyson Kenney, Steven Castro, Madilyn Duke, Tanner Duke, Makayla Polk, Clara Snelson, Olivia Trobis, Allison Wilson, Lukais Lowry, Olivia Weeks, Hunter Weeks, Allie Boatman, Kaylee O’Roucke, Jalyn Morrissey, Holden Kirk, Dcija Lockhart, Kaylee Dismang, Tate Landers, Cara Price, Isaiah Webb. Debi Tounzen Lisa Dugger, Kim Sandlin and Sherry Evans would like to thank the parents for their attendance, our faithful childcare providers, and the First United Methodist Church for the use of their facilities and cooking the wonderful pancakes for everyone. Don’t forget our December 10 meeting, Santa will be there!
