What’s Left?

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving - spending time with those you love!  I had a great one!  Got to see lots of people at my Aunt Mary’s house in Clinton. Thanks to all who did so much cooking! It was great!  Loved seeing all my cousins - my great Aunt Mary who is in her 90’s and doing great! Loved seeing my cousin Joe Tom. Haven’t seen him in about 10-15 years.  And of course seeing all my family that I see ever so often. Always good to just see everyone having a good time and relaxing. It was fun!  Hope you had a great one, too!

Speaking of Thanksgiving - I hope you weren’t one of the many people in town burning leaves on Thanksgiving. Now, think about it. Sure, maybe the wind wasn’t blowing when you started and maybe it never came up. But, let’s just say your neighbor or many of your neighbors were having company - lots of company and they got to “enjoy” the smoke coming from your slow burning pile of leaves all day long.  Why not wait one more day when your neighbors don’t have lots of company to burn those leaves?  Sometimes it just takes a minute of thought to realize that something was a bad idea. Maybe next year you won’t burn leaves on Thanksgiving. I know none of my neighbors did - and I didn’t either (obviously).

And now it’s onward and upward to Christmas and New Year’s.

Our Cody Belew sang as a top 8 finalist on The Voice tonight (Monday). Sure hope you all voted for him and he makes it to the final six next week!  He is so talented and it’s fun to watch him and listen to his comments on the show. You never know what he’s going to say. Go Cody!

I still haven’t made it to the movies to see any of the movies I talked about a few weeks ago. I have heard that the Life of Pi is really good. That’s probably the one I’ll see at the movies - eventually- and the rest of them - I’ll probably just wait till they come out on DVD.

I hope you have a great week!

Go to your happy place!

See you next week!
