School Board Approves $750 Increase in Teacher Base Pay

The Beebe School met for their regular monthly meeting Monday night, Nov. 19th.

At the meeting, the board voted to give a $750 increase to the base pay of licensed salary employees (teachers) and a 2% increase in classified staff pay. This brings the beginning salary from $36,500 (26th in the state out of 239 school districts) to $37,250.

In personnel, the board approved:

Resignations:

Gena Karen Hubbard, custodian; Theresa Garner, custodian; Diane Harmon, cafeteria.

Employment:

Diane Harmon, custodian; increase Terina Skinner’s (cafeteria)contract from 3 hours per day to 5.25 hours per day; Judy Taylor, cafeteria, 3  hours per day.  JoAnn Falcinelli, substitute for Sheena Hunter, special  education teacher in Badger Elementary.

The board will meet at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 10 to host a reception for National Board Certified Teachers. Everyone is invited.
