What’s Left?Nov 21st, 2012 | By admin | Category: Opinion
This is our “short” week as we are publishing a day early due to Thanksgiving. We wanted to do that so that people would get their newspaper in the mail on Wed. morning and on the streets Tuesday afternoon.
I hope you are all planning a family-filled Thanksgiving! I think - even if you’re not a fan of turkey and dressing - that Thanksgiving is one of the laid back holidays where you can visit with friends and family and just have a good time catching up - if that’s what you like to do. I hope that you can relax and have a good time! (I’m talking to myself on this one, too! It’s hard for me to relax and stay in one place for very long - so it will be an effort - even though I do love my family and have a need to catch up.)
Last year at Thanksgiving I was at Gulf Shores (Orange Beach, AL). It was sunny, windy and pretty warm and it was really nice except for not having my family there with me. Can’t have everything - family and the ocean. But I did have fun. I could have gone again this year, too, but chose to stay here. I’m glad I did.
We all have much to be thankful for and we need to be mindful of that on this holiday and everyday.
Go to your happy place.
See you next week!
