Beebe Police Chief Wayne Ballew reported that Morton R. Conrad, 65, of 6202 Highway 367 South in Beebe was arrested on Thursday, September 27th, 2012 after Conrad failed to comply with orders issued him by the Beebe District Court on May 24th, 2012. According to the Chief, Conrad was given a direct order from Special Judge Joe O’Bryan. The order of the court told Conrad, “Property needs to be cleaned up and mobile homes removed to comply with all city ordinances in a timely fashion.”
An affidavit for the arrest of Morton Conrad was accomplished on 9/26/2012 due to the fact that he had failed to comply with certain city ordinances. Chief Ballew said that, “Mr. Conrad has removed the goats and emu from his property but has not conformed to the order to clean up the premises, remove non-operating motor vehicles and he is still in violation of the Non-Conforming Use Ordinance regarding the removal of a mobile home which was over 50% damaged by fire and the placement of a new mobile home on his land.” Conrad was transported to the White County Detention Center in Searcy and held in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Chief Ballew also said Conrad was issued a new citation for the keeping of “Hogs or Pigs” on his land.
The court date on the arrest is set for 11/5/2012 in the White County District Court-Beebe Department.
