We here at The Beebe News were alerted a few weeks ago that local talent, Cody Belew, would be appearing on an episode of “The Voice” which is on NBC. We did not know which episode and there were several - maybe 7 or 8 - of the blind auditions before he finally appeared last night (Monday). He was the very last contestant to appear and be chosen to be on Team Celow - one of four of “The Voice” judges. It was exactly the team Cody had said he wanted  to be on so all is well. In the upcoming weeks of “The Voice” you might want to tune  in and see how our local young man is doing. He wowed the judges with his response when he was chosen by Celow because he thought he had come to the end of his song with no judges  choosing him. When he found out he was chosen to continue on the show and that Celow had chosen him, Cody began shouting and jumping around. One of the judges said, “I believe that might be one of the most exciting responses we’ve ever had.”

If you’ve ever heard Cody sing here in Beebe or elsewhere - you know he is super talented. Let’s all watch and send our best wishes to him in this endeavor. Good luck, Cody! We’re backing you!
