Beebe Police Chief Wayne Ballew reports that Kenneth D. Parr, 49, of Beebe entered a guilty plea on August 8th, 2012 in the White County Circuit Court to 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a nine year old female. Parr was sentenced to 15 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections. The case was investigated by Captain Eddie Cullum according to the Chief.
On August 7th, 2012, Branigan Kyle Stacy, 21, of Cabot was arrested after he allegedly accomplished a gas drive off without paying for $54 in fuel at a local convenience store in Beebe. A description of the 2010 blue Jeep Grand Cherokee was provided by the store management and Stacy was stopped in the vehicle on U.S. Highway 167 as it traveled southbound. The traffic stop was made by Asst. Chief Ron Lewis and further investigation revealed that the vehicle displayed Arizona license plates that did not come back to the vehicle. When the vehicle identification number was entered into ACIC/NCIC data system by Lewis, the Jeep had been reported as stolen on July 2nd, 2012 by the Orange County California Sheriff’s Office. Stacy was incarcerated in the White County Detention Center in lieu of bond for felony Theft by Receiving and misdemeanor charges which included: Theft of Motor Fuel, Driving on a Suspended driver’s license, Careless Driving and Carrying a knife as a weapon. Stacy’s total bond was set at $21,605.00.
