An early evening trip to Vacation Bible School ended tragically when 38-yr.-old Treasure Grier, of Beebe, was killed when the vehicle she was driving overturned on Hwy. 67/167 near the 29-mile marker around 5:42 p.m. Monday, August 6th. Grier was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban south on Hwy 67/167 with three of her children and three other children when she apparently went off the roadway and then over-corrected causing the vehicle to overturn several times. She was wearing a seatbelt, according to a preliminary Ark. State Police report by Investigating Officer Cpl. Tommy Bowman.  Conditions were dry and clear at the time of the accident.

Injured in the accident were Destiny Nunez, and Garrett Grier - who were both taken to White County Medical Center and then released. Also injured was Aaron Nunez and Kyla Nunez who were both taken to Ark. Children’s Hospital. Aaron Nunez was treated and released and Kyla is listed in fair condition - which means that her indicators are favorable.

If you would like to help these families with their financial obligations, accounts have been set up at First Security Bank for the Nunez family and the Treasure Grier Memorial Fund.
