Lemuel David “L.D.” Smith, age 83 of Beebe, formally of Lonoke went to be with his Lord June 24, 2012 in Lonoke. He was born May 25, 1929 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late George and Becky Sharp Smith. Also proceeded in death by wife Mary Lucille Smith, son George Melton Smith, and grandson Steven Kircher

He is survived by one son; David Smith (Shirley) of Lonoke,  four daughters; Barbara Peeks of Judsonia, Sandy Henson (Russell) of Bald Knob, Kathy Stockman of Batesville and Brenda Hardin (Edward) of Jacksonville, one brother; Tommy Smith of Bakersfield, California,  fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loves ones.

Visitation was Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Beebe on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Beebe City Cemetery.
