(Rogers,AR) I’ll Fly Away Music Group will be bringing the next Brumley Music Jam to Van Buren, AR on April 28th, 2012. The Jam will consist of a train ride on the Arkansas & Missouri railroad at 11:00a.m., followed by an evening show at the intimate, yet legendary King Opera House in the historic downtown area. Local musicians The Rusty Plow Band will be providing live music on board the train, while the award-winning Martin Family from Missouri will entertain with their bluegrass sound at the 6:00p.m. evening show. Both bands will join to close the show with a tribute to Albert E. Brumley, celebrating the 80th anniversary of his best-known song, “I’ll Fly Away” and the 70th anniversary of the family music business. Door prizes will be given away at both venues of the show.
Tickets are $45 each for the approximately 3-hour round-trip train-ride through the Boston Mountains. Price for the evening show is $30 per ticket. A special price of $65 is available for those wishing to see both shows. Additionally, VIP package upgrades for $10 more are being offered, giving patrons front row seats, premium parking, “Eat n’ greet” with the bands hosted by Sisters Gourmet Bistro, and more. As with each IFAMG show, the family’s Glad Morning Initiative will be giving back 5% of every ticket sold, as well as any sponsorship contributions, to the community. The Boys & Girls Club of Van Buren will be the recipient of the donation from this event.
