What’s Left?

Can you believe that this school year is almost over?  This year has gone by so fast - to me.  And the weather???? I really thought when we had that unusually warm spell a few weeks ago that it would just go from there to the heat of a normal mid-summer. But, for all our ac bills - I’m glad it has cooled off but I think it has wreaked havoc with all of our allergies. I normally do not have seasonal allergies but I’ve been stopped up and having trouble talking for almost a week now. I know many people are probably enjoying  the fact that I cannot talk consistently - but it is inconvenient. When you try to answer the phone you don’t know if your voice is going to work.  I can’t take antihistamines so I’m just trying to get well on my own. I know several people in town are going through the same thing. Good luck. I guess we all need to go to our happy place to get well. I flashback to Gulf Shores several times a day. Sometimes I’m at Seachase and sometimes I’m at the house we rented at Ft. Morgan just before Thanksgiving. It’s nice - just listening to the waves coming in (in your head) and remembering the good times. Surely that is a healing exercise….

And because I’m ailing and short on time - here are a few of the quotations I get each morning from Brook Noel’s website:

“Some days there won’t be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.”

~Emory Austin

“Facts do not cease to exist just because they are ignored.”

~Aldous Huxley

“If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, would you continue to hang around with that person?”

~Rob Bremer, Speaker

“Faith dares the soul to go farther than it can see.”

~William Clark

“Happiness will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have.”

“The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”

~Marcus A. Antoninus

“I take nothing for granted. I now have only good days, or great days.”

~Lance Armstrong

“Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you are not willing to move your feet.”

Go to your happy place. See you next week.
