A promotion ceremony was held for Major Marshall E. Cooney to Lieutenant Colonel on Monday April 16, 2012 at Camp Robinson. LTC Cooney was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on May 20, 1970 to Clarence Cooney and Ernestine Conney-Barron of Beebe. He enlisted in the Arkansas Army National Guard as a Private First Class on February 3, 1992. He is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Camp Robinson, AR.

LTC Cooney and his wife Jennifer reside in North Little Rock with their daughters Kennedy and Whitney Price. Grandparents of LTC Cooney are Rev. and Mrs. Edward Cooney. He has one brother Rev. Carl A. Cooney. Congratulations LTC Cooney!
