ASU-Searcy: Annual Yard Sale/Open House Set for April 21st
Apr 12th, 2012 | By admin | Category: CommunityArkansas State University-Searcy will have the annual Yard Sale/Open House April 21, featuring vendors with all types of merchandise, products, arts and crafts as well as a car show and motorcycle exhibit.
The flea market style yard sale will host space for all types of merchandise that buyers can expect from a garage sale or expo type event, as well as dealer products, arts, and crafts. Vendor space at the yard sale is free, but must be reserved by April 20. (Call 501-207-6213 to reserve space.)
In addition to the yard sale, the campus will have a classic car show, a motorcycle exhibit, campus tours, and the Relay for Life team will provide food concession. New this year will be an FFA competition of high school student agriculture and mechanical projects. Scholarships will be awarded to the top honors in various categories.
The Yard Sale/Open House will be held from 7 a.m. until noon on the north parking lot of the Searcy campus, off Davis Drive and across from the White County Fairgrounds entrance. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
ASU-Searcy, a technical campus of ASU-Beebe, offers certification in various technical fields of study such as industrial, allied health, and business. The university recently added a Power Sports Technology program, which instructs in small engine repair for boats and off-road vehicles. Classes are also offered in green and alternative energy technology, as well as industrial robotics programming and maintenance. ASU-Searcy is located at 1800 E. Moore Ave.
