What’s Left?

If you’re like me - and I truly hope you’re not - you find that as each year passes, you have less and less time to spend on yourself. And, ironically, as each year passes, you need to spend more and more time on yourself- just maintenance - nothing extra. Sad but true. Anyway, as each day passes, I find that at the end of the day, I am so short of time- I’m talking 20%-30% less time for myself than I had last year. Now, there are two theories here: 1. that I am also getting much slower at doing my work, etc. than I was last year, and 2. That I have more stuff to do. In my case, it might be a little of both but I would mostly say that it is the 2nd theory. I’m sure I’m a little slower than I used to be - but I was kind of speedy by nature anyway. So, maybe now, I’m kind of normal. (Don’t laugh!) Anyway, all this premise to say this, I don’t think I have time or should watch television anymore. I usually don’t watch but a few silly 30-minute shows periodically but I DVR lots of shows. Now, there are still some good ones out there that I will DVR and watch when I have time, like last night I happened on the American Masters show on PBS and it was about Margaret Mitchell - the author of “Gone With the Wind.”  That was a very interesting show about her life. She was an incredible person. Shows like that are good, life-affirming, teaching, motivating shows. The rest of the stuff is usually just junk - time wasting stuff. So, we’ll see how I do with that. Maybe I can get more of my chores done. I’ll report back to you on this.

Hope you are having a great week!

Go to your happy place!

See you next week~!
