Ag Ventures Day: A Day of Fun and Farm Animals

In celebration of National FFA Week, the Beebe FFA chapter held its 3rd Annual Ag Ventures Day on Wednesday, February 22, at the ASU-Beebe Farm.  FFA high school students and teachers welcomed Beebe Pre-K and Elementary students to the farm and exposed them to various agricultural animals and products.  Children explored the world of agriculture, beef and poultry at the Farm Bureau mobile learning center and had an opportunity to “milk” the plastic cow.     Also, a favorite among the youngsters was the Aquatic Education Program provided by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

A special thank you to ASU Beebe for the use of their facilities; to First Security Bank of Beebe for bringing the Teal Grill and providing lunch to the FFA students; to Fisher Dairy for bringing the real dairy cow and calf; and to Greenway Equipment in Searcy for the John Deere tractors on display.
