Feb 29th, 2012 | By admin | Category: CommunityThe El Paso Extension Homemakers met on Feb. 20th for their February meeting followed by a workshop to make teaching dolls for Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Twelve members and one guest answered roll call by telling what games they like to play. The inspirational thought and prayer was given by Wilma Venable taken from the 13th Chapter of 1st Corinthians. The group enjoyed trying to solve various puzzles that were included in the program “Brain Game” presented by Georgia Burns.
Many members of the El Paso EHC participated in the 4-H Chili Supper and Auction held on Feb. 18th, which grossed over $5,000. The money raised from this event will be split between the El Paso 4-H Club and the library project. Judy Riley gave a report detailing progress on the historically correct restoration of the El Paso Bank building to make it into the library. Following the meeting and lunch the group made 41 teaching dolls bringing the total of volunteer hours for this month to 315.
Hostesses for the day were Wilma Venable, Jo Ann Madden and Janet Blansett. All members of the community are invited to join the El Paso EHC.
