December was a very joyous month at Beebe Retirement Center. We had many events to help the residents feel the Christmas Spirit. Elvis was in the Building singing a variety of Christmas music in a way that only Elvis can do. We had many local clubs, churches, and organizations visit the facility with handshakes, hugs, and gifts. Santa even came by several times during the month to see who was being naughty or nice. The residents had a huge Christmas party that included family, friends, entertainment, and of course lots of goodies to eat. Christmas Eve was a great success with everyone opening gifts and just being together. Several residents enjoyed time at home with family members and are all back home with many happy memories.

We ended the month and the year with a fun filled New Years party. The residents did karaoke with Emil Jean, enjoyed a fun time together and of course snacked on a variety of goodies. We are looking forward to having a great new year at Beebe Retirement Center and hoping that all of Beebe has a great 2012 also.

“Resident of the Month” for January is Mrs. Aldah Hogue. Mrs. Hogue is a very sweet and friendly resident. You can often find her visiting with her husband, Jim, or other residents in the dining room. They have been married sixty-three years. They have three “perfect” children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She has been a resident of Beebe Retirement Center for three years. When asked why she chose our home, she replied, “because it is so clean” and “the best I’ve ever seen”. Mrs. Hogue is a true blessing to our home and we are so glad she chose to live here with us.
