I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Many of you  were here for the cloudy but mild weather and some of you got to go to other climates. I got to go to the beach - again. I was lucky to get to go with a friend back to Gulf Shores (Orange Beach) for the Thanksgiving holiday. The weather was warm - 75 or so, sunny and very breezy. It was nice to get away and to have a  restful vacation listening to the waves coming in.

One thing that I got to see that I have never seen is a rip tide. The night we got there we saw the waves coming straight to shore - like usual - but then there was an area where the waves seemed to turn at right angles and run parralell to the shore. I have never seen that before. I’ve heard of it and been told how to swim out of a rip tide but it was very unusual to see it at Orange Beach - at least it was for me. They had little sheets of paper in the condo room telling you about red flags that would be out if it was dangerous in the water and what to do if you were caught in a rip tide. So I guess they are having them more there. Anyway, it was a fun time but I’m glad to be back home!!!!

Go to your happy place!

See you next week!
