Bernice Watson, 97, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born August 19, 1914 at Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, to John and Maude Fowlkes, and she died Tuesday, September 27, 2011.  She was a loving mother and a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Freeland Watson; daughter, Betty McKay; son, Lawrence Freeland Watson, Jr.; and five siblings.  Bernice is survived by two daughters, Reva Neideck and husband Neil of Searcy, Eva Hall and husband Edward of Beebe; one son, Tommy Watson and wife Alice of Romance; son-in-law Kenneth McKay of Romance; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Family  received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Romance Church of Christ, with burial in Romance Cemetery.  www.westbrookfuneralhome.com
