I hope you got some rain these past couple of days. If you live in Beebe - you did. On Monday afternoon it rained for about an hour or so and then later that evening a big front came through or formed - and we got lots of rain. At my house we got 4-inches. That was great! Then early Tuesday morning it rained again and we got another 4 -inches (yes, I did empty the rain guage from the day before). So, at our house, we got 8-inches in 24-hours and then today (Wednesday) it has rained a little more. Super! Boy, did we need it. We had stopped mowing our yard so that it wouldn’t die - or at least not die as fast. Anyway, luckily, the weather forecasters have said that we will get in the lower 90’s this next week and maybe more back in the normal temps for this time of year rather than the 100-plus temps we’ve been having for - well - all summer. Yea! My poor dogs will be glad. At least one of my dogs has gotten real good at getting in the pool and swimming around to cool off. He was terrified of the pool last summer. He still doesn’t like the water hose. But I’m proud of his progress this summer. I guess that’s what 110 -degree temps and a black coat will do for you - help you get in the water. Yea, Buddy!
Here are a few of my recent daily quotes I get from Brook Noel that I really like:
Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.’
Don’t be afraid to give up the good for the great.”
“When you make a mistake, don’t look back at it long. Take the reason of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power.”
“Out of clutter find simplicity. From discord find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”
“Facts do not cease to exist just because they are ignored.”
“Believe in your dreams and they may come true; believe in yourself and they will come true”
“A man can do only what he can do. But if he does that each day he can sleep at night and do it again the next day.” ~Albert Schweitzer
