Effie Mae Clare, 89, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born October 5, 1921, at Beebe, Arkansas, to Charles and Lessie (Vermillion) Barentine, and she died Sunday, July 17, 2011.  She was a charter member of Union Valley Baptist Church, and was a great mother and grandmother.
Effie Mae is survived by her daughter, Maedean Johnson (Scott) of Beebe; one granddaughter, Diane Daws (Lonnie), of Beebe; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Hooper (Greg) of Fort Hood, Texas and Hunter Collie of Beebe; two great-great-grandchildren, Samuel Hooper and Jakob Hooper; sister Geneva Pettypool (Herbert); brother Joel Barentine; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; her parents; and fourteen brothers and sisters.
Family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral was 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery.
