It’s Tuesday night and I’m sitting here at 8:30 p.m. watching all the various local television channels as tornadoes are popping up all around the state. So far, thankfully, we, here in Beebe, have not had one pop up. But this is just the first round of storms tonight. We have more coming through from Oklahoma later on tonight. I’m hoping that we have no fatalities tonight. Last week, on Thursday night and early Fri. morning, we had seven people killed in our state - mostly by trees falling on their houses. You always think about trees as being good - but in a storm- they are potentially huge problems. Even if you don’t have any big trees in your yard - your neighbor’s trees may end up in your house. I’ll write more later tonight or in the morning and update you on the storm.
Well, it’s Wednesday morning and thankfully, the storms didn’t produce much damage across the state. Even though there were several tornadoes spotted around the state - none here or in White County as far as I know - there were no serious injuries. Thank you, God!  You know - it’s when you are sitting there with absolutely no control over what might happen that you realize how small and insignificant you are and how you have to depend on God. I bet there has been lots of praying lately.
Have you noticed all the beautiful flowers in bloom around town? It is a beautiful spring. Despite the almost weekly storms, the flowers keep blooming. That is something to be thankful for.
I hope you all had a safe night last night and we are so thankful that we here in Beebe didn’t have any power outages last night or last week.

Go to your happy (safe) place!  See you next week!
