I’m glad we’ve had some rain here recently - including a little hail. And, true to Arkansas’ weird weather patterns, we had springtime temperatures last week but this week, it’s been pretty cold - in the 40’s. We needed the rain - so that’s good. But I’ll be glad to see warm temperatures come back. They are forecasted to come back this weekend. Yea!
Fortunately for the kids, most of Spring Break week was pretty nice - sunny and warm for the first of the week. In Arkansas, count yourself very lucky. Hopefully, wherever you went for Spring Break, the weather was nice.
My cats have been loving the rainy weather. They just sleep all the time. I know - hard to tell the difference. But they are much more snuggly when it’s overcast and rainy.
I have been loving seeing all the beautiful flowers and flowering trees and shrubs around town. It is really a pretty spring.
I’m anxious to get started gardening. I say that now, but when it gets very hot in the summer, I lose my enthusiasm. But for now, I’m looking forward to it. The main thing I like is the fresh tomatoes. I like to plant several different varieties and see which one tastes best and produces the most tomatoes. It’s fun. We have lots of resources available at our U of A Cooperative Extension Service in Searcy - ph. 501-269-5394 for information on soil sample analysis, etc. So get ready to garden!!!

Go to your happy place (is it your garden)?

See you next week!
