What’s Left?Mar 10th, 2011 | By admin | Category: Opinion
I think I told you about a morning email I get each day that starts off with a memorable quote. It is from Brook Noel, a noted motivational person who also specializes in organization and life coaching. Here are a few of the latest quotes I’ve received:
“Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, “I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.”
Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.”
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
“Sometimes you have to take the leap, and build your wings on the way down.”
“I can start my day over anytime I choose.”
I think it is helpful to start your day as positive as you can. Maybe you’ve made the time to meditate, pray, listen to good music - hopefully all of these before you get into the “nuts and bolts” of the day. I know personally, I have to start the day off with some quiet and it would make it all the better if I could listen to some ocean music or classical music as I start the day with prayer and meditation. It is something you have to make part of your day and then you just do it.
Along those lines, one of those quotes I just gave you, “I can start my day over anytime” is a good one to live by. When you’re having a bad day or your day has gotten off to a bad start, just stop and say, OK - my day is starting right now. And then, make it a great day! Of course, if you have cats - it makes it easier to have a great day!
Go to your happy place.
See you next week!
