What a difference a week makes. This time (Tues. night)  last week we were listening intently to the weather forecasters as they predicted a winter storm coming Wednesday morning. And they were right! I am so glad we got the newpaper out on Tuesday night last week as we would not have been able to get around on Wed. night or Thursday. We had about 6-7 inches here at my house. It started about 8 a.m. and it came down with blizzard-like intensity. It was fun to watch but you just could not drive in it after it started - at least I couldn’t. I had left the house to take a few pictures just as the snow began at around 8:10 a.m. Wednesday. I headed back to the house at about 8:30 a.m. and had trouble getting up my driveway. It had started accumulating that quickly. I took Simba outside and he seemed to like the snowflakes falling on his face. I don’t think he could feel them anywhere else because of his thick fur. (See pix on Pg. 10).
Well, today, I think the high temperature was about 68-70. What a difference between the 12-14 degree lows we had last Wed. and Thurs. The lows the past few days have been in the 40-50’s. Great! I’m loving it! Come on Spring! The snow was very pretty as it was falling and piling up. But, I just can’t handle the claustrophobia of not being able to drive around and being stuck in the house. It is just overwhelming. But, maybe we’ve seen the last of the snow for the winter season. I sure hope so. I am so looking forward to seeing the grass turn green, the Martins returning, the hummingbirds, and the warm temperatures.
Have a great week.  Go to your happy place!
See you next week.
