I don’t know what to write this week other than I’ve been sick since last Sunday. It’s weird. I’ll have two or three hours where I feel relatively OK - then I feel like maybe I need to go to the hospital. I think it is an extension of the “stuff” that is going around town but I am really ready to get rid of it. I am a little better tonight (Tues.). My cats have been kind of happy about the whole thing as they have gotten to take extensive naps with me. Although I have to give Simba credit for knowing that I have been sick. He looks at me with those big green eyes as if to say, “I’m so sorry you’re sick - now can you go get me some food?” But he is worth it - most of the time.
Tonight, as I’m writing this, the president is giving his State of the Union Address. I always get so excited when I hear these addresses - Democrat or Republican - as I believe for a few minutes at least - that anything is possible and that our country can come together and do great things. Well, OK, I pretty much believe that all the time. How can you not believe in our country? You just have to - it is in our “jeans.”
I hope you have a great week. In fact, you can make it a great week! You just look for the positive and make a plan.
Go to your happy place.
See you next week - all well.
