Can you believe it’s just over a week until Christmas? It’s hard to believe. I’m not ready - never am ready - and won’t be ready the day after Christmas. It’s just a thing with me. I don’t know why - and even though it is my birthday - which is a pain for all of those around me and I hate it for them - Christmas is just a difficult time for me. I know what it is celebrating and I try to focus on that but all the “stuff” before it is just so off-putting. We (our family) do celebrate Christmas and do all the ordinary gift exchange, eating, etc. But I still have a problem with it. I did as a child, too. I’m just not a good holiday person, I suppose. But I hope you are making progress or finished with all the shopping and just focusing on the fellowship with family and friends and celebrating the birth of our Saviour. I will try - harder - to focus on that.
My cats are ready for Santa Cat to come see them - although they pretty much have toys, etc. on an everyday basis. But they do love the boxes and tissue paper. That is more fun for them than anything. My “exercise room” cats devoured a real Christmas tree I gave them a few years back. I should have had a video of that. I barely had the tree in the stand and they descended on it like locusts (a fir tree of some sort) and they had it bare in about 3 minutes. It was hilarious. I was somewhat afraid some of them might get sick - but they didn’t. It was funny.  I guess if I was a real good cat owner - I’d fix them up a “tree” made of wheat grass - they love that. Maybe I will. I’ll let you know. Have a great beginning to the holiday (kids are out this Friday).
Go to your happy place.

See you next week - with bells on!
