I had the best times that I’ve had all year last week. It was when I attended the annual Sunshine Rodeo that Moose and Debi Brewer so graciously host - along with sponsors- each year. They provide horse rides, wagon rides and all sorts of games along with lunch for children from the Sunshine School in Searcy and children from the Beebe School District and neighboring districts. There were about 50-100 children who attended on Friday. The weather was perfect and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There are about four to five volunteers for each child so that their needs are met and they are free to have lots of fun.  It is so uplifting to see the pure joy on those children’s faces as they ride a horse- being lead by a volunteer and sometimes a volunteer rides on the horse along with the child. There are also volunteers on each side of the horse walking along with the horse so as to avert any accidents. But the children don’t seem to notice anyone but the horse and the feeling they have when they are atop that animal. If you’ve never been to the rodeo, ask Moose Brewer if you can be a volunteer next year. I promise you, it will be one of the highlights of your life!  Thanks for letting me in on the fun!
Another fun thing I got to do this week was to attend a fundraiser for Gov. Mike Beebe. It was at the home of Steve and Debbie Fox and it was well attended. It was lots of fun and it was good to see Gov. Beebe back in  the city with the same name.  We wish him luck on Nov. 2nd!

I hope you have a great week!
Go to your happy place!

See you next week!
