Several groups from Beebe Schools presented gifts and presentations Monday night to the Beebe School Board to mark ‘School Board Recognition Month’ in January.  Also recognized for his efforts for the school district’s internet web site was Nathan Stigler - who is in charge of technology at the district.

Beebe Shepherd’s Center Host “Living and Learning Classes”

The Beebe Shepherd’s Center, a non-profit senior adult center received an early Christmas present recently from Entergy Corporation. They were awarded a $250 Community Partnership Grant.

Observant Beebe Police Officers Capture Burglary Suspects Minutes After Home Burglary

Home burglary suspects, stopped for a traffic offense, were quickly apprehended after  police questioned the bogus statements regarding their cargo on a trailer they were pulling.
Beebe Police Officer Steve Hall and Investigator Josh Middleton  put two and two together and made the arrests just minutes after the alleged crime took place.

Woman Dies of Apparent Smoke Inhalation at Local Motel

A woman staying at a local motel died of apparent smoke inhalation Tuesday, January 7th.  Kimberly Copeland, 44, of Ward, was found dead by police around 1:52 p.m. in her motel room in Beebe. The power had been off for several hours at the motel - as it was in many businesses [...]
